Celebrating Spring in Style
May 8, 2017
I love this time of year, the evenings are almost as long as they can be, every day of sunshine is a blessing, the gardens are coming to life and the light is still lovely and gentle. There’s no better time to get outside and take some photos.
I charge the same session fee for a location shoot as I do for a studio shoot if it’s within a 20 mile radius of my studio and within this are I have several favourite spots that incorporate bluebells, woodland, wildflowers and parkland. These images were taken in the car park of a local recreational ground at 7pm in the evening when the light was soft and golden. The clothing was a mix of the model’s own and from my extensive collection.
We only had 30 minutes to capture these stunning images, and with older children who take direction well a lot can be achieved in a short time, but the bonus of an outdoor location shoot with small children is there is plenty to distract them which results in wonderfully natural expressions and poses in a much shorter time frame than can often be achieved in an unfamiliar studio environment.
To find out more about a location shoot for you and your children please email me and we can arrange a time to have a chat either over the phone or at the studio.
I look forward to hearing from you,
