Babies, Toddlers and Childrens Photography encompasses a huge range of portraiture, and it is all very personal to the individual. I do offer a ‘Stepping Stones’ package which entitles you to three shoots over a 12 month period and is the perfect way to capture your baby’s first year.

Following the Newborn Photo-shoot, the next stage of your baby’s life I recommend to capture in the studio is a Sitting Shoot, usually around 7- 8 months. At this age babies are full of personality and smiles and able to support themselves independently. This is the perfect time to bring in extended family and any pets. It’s best to allow up to 60 minutes in the studio as most babies will start to tire after a hour of intense activity.

The 1st birthday is another milestone you will want to record and our Cake Smash & Splash shoots are perfect for this occasion. Alternatively, just a family shoot with balloons and bunting might be what you are after.

The Stepping Stones package includes up to 5 hours studio time over three shoots within a 12 month period, either A Maternity Shoot, Newborn shoot and Family shoot at 8 months, or A Newborn Shoot, Family shoot at 8 months and 1st Birthday shoot. It also includes a Mini-Makeover at the Maternity and Newborn shoots. A Cake Smash can be added to the 1st Birthday Shoot for £25

The Stepping Stones package includes a 6?x 6?triple aperture folio worth £150 with your favourite image from each shoot.

The Stepping Stones package is very popular as a New Baby Gift or a present for a Christening and can come with a customised Gift Voucher.

As your baby leaves their 1st birthday behind and enters the wonderful world of Toddlerhood, we can have all sorts of fun in the studio – toys, props, bubbles, friends and family, dressing up and themed shoots as their little personality begins to emerge. Shoots are tailored for the child and the age they are at – small children need to run and play and not be restrained so the studio will be set up with multiple backdrops and scenes as your energetic toddler explores and I will capture him or her naturally at play rather than trying to direct them. Snacks and favourite toys will help distract when they get tired!

As your toddler grows into early childhood he or she will learn to follow directions and this makes for a calmer, more controlled shoot most of the time! This is a nice time to think about theming a shoot to suit your child’s personality and maybe to incorporate some more artistic elements such as a Fine Art Style Portrait Session.

Each shoot will be designed between us to ensure we  create your dream image and with baby, toddler and children’s photography it’s mostly about them having fun with me in the studio whilst we work together to achieve this.
